The ISO 7500-1 standard specifies the calibration and verification of tension and/or compression testing machines. The laboratories certified to perform these calibrations must have sufficient calibration tools.
These tools consist of a set of standard reference force transducers covering the range of capacities of the testing machines to be verified, normalised loading accessories, an accurate electronic indicator and possibly management software enabling the measurements to be recorded according to the prescribed procedures and production of the test reports.
Load cells and electronics must have the required accuracy class according to ISO 376.
