Subsea tensiometer

At the request of one of its customers, SENSY has developed a tensiometer designed for underwater operation. It is part of a force acquisition system applied to mooring cables. This system can measure forces up to 450 kN, it can be submerged to a depth of 50 m and can be easily installed on a mooring cable by a diver. There is no need for disassembly or functional interruption.

This system measures the tensile force of cables used for a variety of mooring applications:

Offshore platforms
Ships and towing cables
Fish farming
Umbilical loading
Oceanography or navigation
Renewable marine energy platforms

With this set of applications and the ability to be deployed on virtually any type of mooring cable, these systems have many benefits:
